The heart only shows when the music source can actually like a song. Playing from your Mac without the Spotify connection, it no longer shows a heart that does nothing.

Easier to reach. The controls now keep well clear of the dial: with the dial at the bottom they sit higher on the screen, with open space where the knob is, and with the dial at the top they sit lower. Skip buttons are bigger. Swipe the album art left for the next song or right for the previous one; a tap still opens lyrics. The "Now playing" header is gone to make room, and lyrics moved to a button next to the heart.

The screen now turns off when your Mac goes fully to sleep, like closing the lid with a monitor still powering the Car Thing. A sleeping Mac goes silent instead of disconnecting, so the desktop add-on now checks in every 5 seconds and Portrait goes dark after 20 seconds without hearing from it, then wakes with the Mac. A song left "playing" when the Mac slept no longer keeps the screen on either: once it should have ended, it counts as paused.

Screen off with your laptop. The screen goes dark when your Mac's display sleeps (with the Bridgething desktop app), when your laptop and phone disconnect, or after the music has been paused a while (5 minutes by default). It comes back on with your laptop, when music plays, or with any touch, dial turn or button, which only wakes it. Both are in settings. Following the Mac's display uses a small desktop add-on that asks to run osascript.

First release. A vertical now-playing screen for a Car Thing standing on its side: big art and controls, synced lyrics, dial for volume, scrub or skip, hold back to flip orientation, and its own upright volume bar. Plays whatever your phone or desktop is playing.
