u3 - already running bridgething

how to get the latest goodies

the companion app

the companion pushes updates over bluetooth automatically.

no cable, nothing to run. it is already doing this.

already on

over the cable, from this browser

plug the thing in and update it straight from here. much faster than bluetooth.

chromium only, and it asks for local network access the first time.

updater cli

same as above but in the terminal.

$ bunx @bridgething/updater

j2 - if it goes wrong

the usb port is flaky
try different cables, usb ports, usb hubs, no usb hubs, computers, whatever. the thing is picky.
this thing is literally impossible to brick
burn mode lives in rom. holding buttons 1 & 4 on boot always gets you to maskrom.
updates roll back
the image lands in the slot you are not booted from. a failed update boots the old one.
