d1 - when things go wrong
- the installer never sees the device
- use chrome. firefox needs the webserial extension and safari cannot do it at all. failing that, try a different usb-c cable.
- the phone will not pair
- on the device, open settings, then bluetooth, then make discoverable. if it paired before and stopped connecting, forget it there and pair again.
- an app wants a setting
- calendar needs a feed url, home assistant needs your instance and a token, weather needs a location. they live on that app's settings screen in the companion app.
